- Who am I?
- Why am I here?
- Why do I write?
Let’s get started!
My About page is crafted for presentation purposes, so in a more relevant and straightforward manner: I am Cielo, and I am currently training as a French-language Quality Analyst for a North American debt collections company. I volunteer for Victory Christian Fellowship in Fort Bonifacio. In the past two months, I have taken the mantle of writer and web content manager for a fledgling alternative learning organization called HYPHENCreatives. I am a homebody most of the time, and I highly prefer curling up with a book, writing, and drawing with a cup of coffee within reach. I love spending time with my family and friends, and gatherings often involve lots of food and music. I am not much of a movie-goer, but I do enjoy going through ~feelings~ with feature length animation and TV series — especially if they’re animated!
While I have been journaling since 1995 at the age of 13, I have come to transition into the world wide web, because I believe that each individual has a story to tell. I like sharing my thoughts and sentiments about the things I learn and experience. I would like to think that I am more like Sophia Petrillo of the Golden Girls, with her “Picture it…” anecdotes and take-aways…
I hope to be able to connect with those who may share similar experiences, and with those who might to share different perspectives on love, work, spirituality, family, friendship… anything under the sun, really!
Aside from wanting to tell stories, I am an educator at heart, and I always feel the need to impart what I have learned. It was also the reason why I started writing a diary in the first place: so that I can trace my growth as a person, and learn from my past so I can move forward into the future.
It is just day one, and this assignment is already an eye-opener! I have really wondered was to what kind of blog I have, and struggled to find a niche. I now realize that it can be summed up like this: I am a woman with stories to tell — and I would love it if you would spend some time with me.
