About

Who?

My birth certificate bears a name that’s too long for my own good, so I stick to my nickname, Cielo.  Well — I identify better with “Cielo”.  It means “sky” (Spanish) or “heaven” (Italian)– take your pick — and it’s easier to remember than a name that signifies “sea of peace and comfort, of the wolves and entertainer.”

My username, aethracaelis is a (poor) portmanteau in Latin of the two meanings of Cielo: “aethra” means “skies”, and “caelis” means “heavenly”; thus, “heavenly skies”.

I enjoy languages, pondering on the human condition, listening to people’s stories (and, if given the chance, give advice), drawing, reading, watching anything animated and anything recommended by friends, and blogging.  I also enjoy singing, dancing, going on fun runs with family and friends, and cooking for others.  I am very fond of animals, and cats top my list, followed by dogs.  It’s tea over coffee, but I won’t say “no” to either.

I am a paper-pusher by day, a log by night, an aspiring singer-dancer and a wannabe artist in-between. I am also a Professional Space Cadet.

What?

This blog is quite personal in flavor, as I tend to write about my thoughts and feelings over my own experiences and memories, and how people have touched my life.  I would like to be able to share the things that have made me happy, things that have challenged me, things that make me grow and push me to become a better person.

Posts will also dabble in lighter things, like fangirling over fandoms, cats, and the random doodles.

I write first for myself, then for my friends.  But if you stumbled upon this blog, I hope that you’d be able to find something you like.  Feel free to say “hi” and leave your thoughts as well!

That said, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Heya! I dunno if you’d remember/recognize me, but – I played Saul Livingston over on DW. Some time ago – and by this I mean months…I was thinkin’ of hitting up your Call Me Out, and actually did visit there. Funny thing, though – I got to pokin’ around, and eventually discovered that you’d left the RP scene. It was a saddening thing, naturally, but it does happen.

The reason I came here to leave this particular comment is to voice my appreciation. I’d never forgotten you, and always meant to come back and play more. Heck, you’ve got my love forever just for playing the obscure muses you did – Kohran Ri in particular. (With the exception of a single Lobelia in another game, I’ve encountered literally no other Sakura Taisen muses in all my time on LJ and DW alike.) She’s a personal favorite and has been for well over a decade; running across someone who played her *anywhere* was not something I’d dared to dream of ever happening.

BUT YEAH. Never forgot you, was always happy for the funtimes, and I always appreciated your patience with my various durrs and fails. :’D I’m glad for all of it. If the fates should have it, perhaps we’ll play again someday.

Whether we do or not, I genuinely wish you well and hope for the best to come your way. ❤

Hello Sol! Of course, I remember you! 😀 How have you been?

Your message came as a pleasant surprise, and I am so grateful and humbled to know that my characters and my playing were appreciated :’D

There certainly are times when I look back on happy times in RP, and playing with you and Saul are one of them. I do miss playing, but I now I’ve come to dedicating my time to my true passions in life — music being one of them.

Thank you in return for playing with Kohran and for making my stint in RP happily memorable. You’ve always been really nice and sweet, and I’m always happy to know that despite the perceived chaos in the RP world, there are still patient and kind people like you.

I wish you all the best, Sol! And many thanks for dropping by! 🙂 ♥
